This Privacy Policy describes how On The Vine Media, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and stores information when you use Math Facts Coach (the "App") on your mobile device. By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We designed Math Facts Coach with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information.
All progress data — including completed lessons, practice results, timed session scores, earned badges, and performance statistics — is stored locally on your device only and is never sold or shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
The only data that may leave your device is limited to crash reports and diagnostic information, which varies by platform:
On iOS (Apple Devices)
- Crash and diagnostic reports — If the App crashes, Apple may collect anonymized diagnostic information such as device model, iOS version, and crash logs through Apple's standard crash reporting system. This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and your device's diagnostics sharing settings.
On Android (Google Devices)
- Crash reports — We use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports when the App encounters an error. This includes information such as device model, Android version, app version, and anonymized stack traces. No personally identifiable information is included.
- Usage and analytics data — We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymized data about how users interact with the App, such as which lessons are viewed, how often practice sessions are started, and general session duration. This helps us understand which features are most useful and where students may need more support. This data is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
2. How We Use Information
The diagnostic and analytics information described above is used only to:
- Identify and fix technical issues and crashes in the App.
- Improve the overall stability and performance of the App.
- Understand how students use the App so we can improve lesson design and features.
We do not use any information for advertising, marketing, or to build profiles of individual users.
3. Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following information locally on your device to provide its core features:
- Lesson progress — which lessons have been viewed or completed.
- Practice results — scores and accuracy from standard and timed practice sessions.
- Badges and achievements — earned rewards based on your performance.
- Performance statistics — overall stats, areas of strength, and areas to focus on.
This data never leaves your device and is fully under your control. You can permanently delete all of this data at any time by using the Reset Progress option within the App's settings, or by uninstalling the App from your device.
4. No Advertising
Math Facts Coach contains no advertisements of any kind. We do not work with ad networks, and no advertising identifiers are accessed or used.
5. No Account or Login Required
You do not need to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the App. No name, email address, or other identifying information is ever collected.
6. Children's Privacy
Math Facts Coach is an educational app designed for students. We are committed to protecting the privacy of younger users. The App does not collect any personally identifiable information from any user, including children under the age of 13. Any diagnostic or analytics data collected is fully anonymized and cannot be used to identify an individual.
We operate in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will take steps to address it promptly.
7. Third-Party Services
The third-party services we use depend on your platform:
iOS Only
- Apple Crash Reporting — Managed entirely by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Android Only
- Firebase Crashlytics — Used to identify and fix crashes. Subject to the Firebase Privacy and Security Policy.
- Google Analytics for Firebase — Used to understand how students use the App in order to improve it. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
8. Your Choices & Opt-Outs
All Users
- Reset your progress: Use the Reset Progress option within the App to permanently delete all locally stored data.
- Uninstall the App: Removing the App from your device will delete all locally stored data.
iOS Users
- Crash reporting: You can opt out of sharing diagnostic data with Apple via Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Android Users
- Analytics & Diagnostics: You can manage whether your device shares diagnostic data with Google via Settings > Google > More (three dots) > Usage & diagnostics.
- Permissions: You can view and revoke any app permissions at any time through the Apps section of your device settings.
9. Data Security
All App progress data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's own security features, including passcode and biometric protection. Any diagnostic or analytics data transmitted to third-party services (on Android) is anonymized before transmission. We take reasonable measures to ensure these services handle data responsibly, and we select partners who maintain strong security standards.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
